Everything indicates that Capcom's plans to reward the best Street Fighter V gamers on the planet in the Capcom Pro Tour 2020 will not be forgotten, pandemic or not.

Today, the Japanese brand announced that the Capcom Pro Tour of Street Fighter V will take place, but it will only have its tournaments online.

Although some technical questions will have to be resolved for a solid and even connection between competitors, both the 18 qualified for this cup and the winner of the 2019 contest, as well as the fan favorite during the past year (based on voting for the 31 finalists ) will compete for the Capcom Cup 2020 in France, early next year.
This is shown in the diagram revealed by Capcom:

Capcom Pro Tour Online will consist of 18 regional tournaments, and this is the date announced by the creators of Street Fighter:

"This is a radical and exciting change from the normal format, and we look forward to the community joining us when we launch Capcom Pro Tour Online 2020 on June 6."

An interesting detail is that the Capcom Cup 2020 final will not take place in France, but in the United States, and this will occur in early 2021, to avoid further delays.
