Sidonia no Kishi author Tsutomu Nihei revealed that he is designing a font for Japanese characters called "TOA Heavy Industries." The source is named after the joint venture between Nihei and Polygon Pictures.
The company works closely with Iwata Corporation to develop and launch the font, slated for this fall. The font will be compatible with Windows 8.1 / 10 and Mac OS X 10.9 or higher. Pricing for the font has not been decided and will feature a regular and limited version tentatively titled "TOA Heavy Industries Grunge."
"TOA Heavy Industries, LLP" is a reference to a company that has appeared in several of Nihei's stories. The company aims to produce projects and expand its fields, with original ideas for video games, merchandise and industrial products. They will also be involved in project supervision and intellectual property management.
