Bandai Namco Arts and 8-Bit studio announce collaboration

Bandai Namco Arts company and 8-Bit animation studios announced the start of a business collaboration to produce animation content and related merchandise. This collaboration is producing the Tensura Nikki spin-off series: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.


Bandai Namco Arts plans to leverage the 8-Bit studios 'production line to produce “high-quality, successful content,” while the 8-Bit studios will take advantage of Bandai Namco Arts' continued production planning quality and networking capabilities.

For its part, Tensura Nikki: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken adapts the spin-off manga of the same name. The production committee duly announced that the premiere would be delayed until April 2021. The series was scheduled to premiere in January 2021, but was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on production. .

Yuji Ikuhara, the CG producer of the main series Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken in the 8-Bit studios, will be directing the series in conjunction with Tsutomu Kasai, the executive producer of the main series, as an assistant. Kotatsumikan is in charge of writing and supervising the series' scripts, and Risa Takai in conjunction with Atsushi Irie are in charge of character designs. RON. (FLCL Progressive, FLCL Alternative) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
