The Crunchyroll platform announced that the Crunchyroll Expo 2020 event will be held virtually between September 4 and 6. Now called Virtual Crunchyroll Expo (V-CRX), it will have special guests, interactive events, special announcements and other content. The organizing staff will reveal more details soon.
The platform had announced on June 3 the cancellation of the physical edition of the event due to the unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with the aim of ensuring the safety of attendees, guests and the general public.
The next edition of the Crunchyroll Expo event will take place between August 6 and 8, 2021, at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, in California. The platform announced in November 2019 that it had teamed up with event planner Reedpop to produce this year's event.
