Two months have passed since Japan entered a state of national emergency with the aim of controlling the COVID-19 pandemic in the area. During that time, any entertainment venues like theme parks, galleries, live music centers, and movie theaters were closed, and customers couldn't stop thinking about what would happen once they were opened again.
Now, the country is once again reactivating its economic activities, and is carefully directing the opening of new establishments with the aim of not causing a second outbreak. The above specifically in the practice of social distancing.
One of the reopened establishments were the theaters, and the TOHO Cinemas chain made sure that the theaters were fully filled as, starting on June 26, four Studio Ghibli films will be re-released in 372 theaters around Japan.

The four films that will be released are:
- (Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind).
- Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke).
- Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Chihiro's Journey).

As Japan is one of the three countries specifically excluded from the release of all Studio Ghibli movies on Netflix (in company with the United States and Canada), the Japanese audience could not be more than excited by this announcement.
