The PQube company announced that the launch of the Danmachi franchise video game, titled Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Infinite Combat for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC consoles via Steam, has been rescheduled for August 7 in Europe and August 11 in North America.
The company had announced in May that the launch, originally scheduled for this year's spring season, would be delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on launch planning.
PQube will also release a “Collector's Edition for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions, which will include a disc with the soundtrack, a Hestia pillow, a set of six cards and a special box for said set. Those who acquire the Collector's Edition will be able to vote to choose which images will appear on these cards.
About Danmachi: Infinite Combat
The game is based on the anime Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka (also known as Danmachi) and his spin-off project, Sword Oratoria. Yuka Iguchi performed the main theme song for the game titled “Treasure”.
The installment mixes dungeon exploration and RPG elements with a visual novel presentation style. The story features events from the first season as well as new content. In addition to Story Mode, the game includes additional dungeons and interactive events with the characters.
The game was released in Japan for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch and PC consoles in November 2019, after being delayed multiple times from its original date set for spring 2018.
