Rie Takahashi, the voice of Megumin, celebrates her fifth career anniversary with a special video

Popular voice actress and singer Rie Takahashi celebrated her fifth career anniversary since her first leading role in the voice acting industry with a special video uploaded to the Earphones music unit YouTube channel.


The video shows one of the concerts presented by the musical unit at C3AFASG18. Takahashi mentioned that this presentation was very special to her since it was the first time that the Earphones unit gave a presentation abroad.

About Rie Takahashi

Rie Takahashi was born in Saitama Prefecture and from an early age, had an interest in anime, particularly after watching anime series such as Ojamajo Doremi during her childhood and Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni and Soul Eater during her high school years.

In 2013, she played supporting or supporting roles in each series, such as Stella Women’s Academy, High School Division Class C³, Driland, and Aikatsu. In 2015, she played her first lead role as Futaba Ichinose in the anime television series Sore ga Seiyuu !. That same year, she was chosen to play the characters Miki Naoki in Gakkougurashi and Kaon Lanchester in Comet Lucifer.

In March 2016, Takahashi received the Best Rookie Award at the tenth installment of the Seiyuu Awards for her role as Megumin in the animated adaptation of the KonoSuba! Light novels. She then played the role of Emilia in the Re: Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu anime series. Another of her relevant roles is that of Takagi in the anime series Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san!.
