Final Fantasy IX celebrates the 20th anniversary of its release

On July 7, 2020 marks the twentieth anniversary since the release of the Japanese role-playing video game Final Fantasy IX, released by the developer Square Enix for the PlayStation console. In commemoration, Square Enix announced the release of the Blu-ray "FINAL FANTASY IX OFFICIAL REVIVAL DISC" for the month of September this year in Japan.

The disc will include scenes from the Final Fantasy IX video game as well as 110 songs from the game's soundtrack. An MP3 album of 42 additional songs (including unused tracks and remixes) and a booklet with illustrations and commentary by illustrator Toshiyuki Itahana will be included in the delivery.

The package will be launched in Japan on September 23 at a price of 5,000 yen (approximately $ 47) plus taxes.
