On the official Twitter account of the developer Atlus, a special illustration was published commemorating that the Persona 4 Golden video game has reached a total of 500,000 PC players.
The illustration was made by Shigenori Soejima, and the video game was released for PC via Steam on June 13, 2020. For reference, it should be mentioned that Person 4 Golden sold more on PC in a single month than it sold on the PlayStation Vita console in Japan in several years. The last sales count for this edition barely reached 324,000 units. We're excited to announce that Persona 4 Golden has hit 500,000 players on PC! Ports for the Persona franchise games outside of PlayStation consoles have been a long time coming. Atlus began to increase interest in Persona games on PC and Nintendo Switch through its annual consumer survey in 2018. After the above ports were not conducted in the next two years, the 2020 Atlus survey saw a record number of participant and closed prematurely.
Finally Atlus released some ports of Catherine: Full Body, developed by the same team from the franchise, and Persona 5 Scramble, an action RPG.
