A new promotional video was released on the official site for the live-action film based on the manga series written and illustrated by Wataru Watanabe, Yowamushi Pedal. The video reveals part of the recording process for the feature film.
The film will be released in theaters in Japan on August 14. Watanabe began publishing the manga in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine in 2008. The publisher published the sixty-fifth (65th) compilation volume on February 7. As a whole, the manga has accumulated more than 25 million copies in circulation.
The play inspired an anime adaptation released in 2013, followed by a second season in 2014 and a third in January 2017. Finally, the fourth season premiered in January 2018. The manga has also inspired several animated films, an OVA. , a live-action series for television and 14 plays.
