A statue of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam will be built in China

Sunrise Studios announced that the "Life-Size Gundam Statue Project" will be extended abroad by building a life-size statue of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam in Shanghai next year. The company and its affiliates plan to make this official announcement during the "Gundam G Meeting 2020" broadcast to be held during the "Gundam China Project" event.



Protagonist Kira Yamato pilots the 18.03 meter tall ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam in the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed series. Furthermore, the company also revealed its plans to build an 18-meter-tall statue of the Mobile Suit Gundam series RX-78-2 Gundam in Yokohama, but its progress was delayed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan.

Finally, a life-size statue of the RX-78-2 Gundam opened in Japan in July 2009. This statue was replaced in September 2007 by a life-size statue of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam from the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series. .
