Kazuya Masumoto, a producer at Studio Trigger, known for his work on animation projects such as Promare, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, and SSSS.Gridman, among many others; published a manual on producing anime from the point of view of the production table, rather than that of an animator.
The manual goes into detail about anime programming, how storyboards are read, what it takes to create an episode of a television anime, as well as many other details one should know before entering the industry. . The 52-page manual is available completely free of charge on the Japan Animation Association (AJA) website (link), however, at the moment it is only available in Japanese.
