In this year's 45th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, it was revealed that Haro Aso will begin publishing a new manga from the Imawa no Kuni no Alice (also known as Alice in Borderland) franchise titled Imawa no Kuni. not Alice Retry.
The manga will debut in the next issue of the magazine, which will be released in Japan on October 14, with an initial chapter of 59 pages. Aso mentioned on his Twitter account that he intended to withdraw from the industry entirely, but is making this manga to commemorate Netflix's new live-action series based on this franchise. He added that it has been five years since the end of the series, so much so that he has forgotten how to hold his pen, so he has had trouble going back to the same style he was used to.
Aso began publishing the original manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday S magazine in November 2010 and ended it in March 2016, after the series entered its last arc a year earlier. The publisher compiled the work into a total of 18 volumes, and volumes 12, 13, and 14 included one OVA each.
