Through his Twitter account, author Rui Tsukiyo revealed that the literary franchise based on the light novels Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi (Redo of Healer), has surpassed two million copies in cumulative circulation. "It was announced that the total number of copies in circulation for Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi has surpassed 2 million since mid-February. That's an increase of 300,000 copies since the anime premiered! I feel very grateful that you trusted me to create an anime series to make the novels known to more people, I will keep working to continue to make this an interesting work for you!" the author wrote.

Rui Tsukiyo began publishing the novels through the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in December 2016 and they are still in publication. Subsequently Kadokawa Publishing, through the Sneaker Bunko imprint, began print publication in July 2017, with nine volumes released to date.
A twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by TNK Studios, under the direction of Takuya Asaoka and scripts written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, has been airing since January 13 in Japan. The anime adaptation is broadcast in two versions, one censored on TV and the other uncensored on the AT-X service.
