The manufacturing company Hakoiri Musume announced the release of a 1/6 scale figure based on Chizuru Mizuhara (2nd Xmas Ver.) from the Kanojo franchise, Okarishimasu ( Rent A Girlfriend ), for the month of August 2023 in Japan and, depending on the distributor, the rest of the world. This is the second Christmas-themed figure born from this collaboration, as the first was released in 2021.
The company writes:
- Santa Claus arrives again this year in a bathing suit. In response to the huge popularity, we decided to make a new figure for the second year in a row! Chizuru Mizuhara from Kanojo, Okarishimasu appears dressed in a Christmas-style swimsuit. This product is our second collaboration with the franchise, with Chizuru Mizuhara being one of the most popular girls in the series.
- Unlike last year, Chizuru jumps out of a gift box now facing forward. Every part of her body has been masterfully sculpted. Her Christmas outfit is obviously a bikini again, and as the product name suggests, the white parts of her swimsuit are textured soft to the touch. Her figure's accessories are made of paper and cloth for a more realistic finish, and her Christmas hat is magnetized so it can be rearranged at will.
The product is about 260mm high, will be priced at 21,780 yen (about US$149), and is available for reservation on the dealer's official site and other third-party sites.
Sinopsis de Kanojo, Okarishimasu
Kazuya Kinoshita is a 20-year-old college student who has a wonderful girlfriend: the brilliant Mami Nanami. But suddenly, not anymore. Without warning, Mami breaks up with him, leaving him heartbroken and lonely. Seeking to ease his pain, he hires a girlfriend for hire through an online app. Her partner is Chizuru Mizuhara, who through her incomparable beauty and cute behavior, manages to win Kazuya's affection. But after reading similar experiences from other clients Chizuru had, Kazuya is certain that her caring personality and warm smile were just an act to play on her heart, and he puts her down.
Aggravated, Chizuru criticizes him for his shameless hypocrisy, revealing his true temperamental personality. However, this one-sided exchange is cut short when Kazuya discovers that her grandmother has collapsed. They run to the hospital and find Kazuya's grandmother already in good condition. Puzzled by Chizuru's presence, Grandma asks who this girl could be. On impulse, Kazuya introduces her as her real girlfriend, forcing Chizuru to play her role. But with Kazuya still anchored to Mami, how long can this difficult client and reluctant rental girlfriend keep up her act?
