On the official site for the anime Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War ( Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen ), the adaptation of the last arc of the manga written and illustrated by Tite Kubo , Bleach , it was announced that the first part of the series will end with an hour long special. This special will be broadcast on December 26 in Japan and will include the twelfth and thirteenth episodes (however, the hour duration also includes television commercials).

The series has been broadcast since October 11 in Japan, while the Disney Plus platform is in charge of its distribution in the West in a very limited way. The first part is confirmed with a total of thirteen episodes, but it is also confirmed that everything that remains of the original manga will be adapted.

In addition, the production shared a special video to remember what has happened in the ten episodes broadcast to date.

For his part, Tite Kubo published the original manga in Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine between August 2001 and August 2016, compiling the work in a total of 74 volumes. The work inspired an anime adaptation produced by Pierrot studios, under the direction of Noriyuki Abe , broadcast between October 2004 and March 2012, with a total of 366 episodes.

Synopsis for Bleach

Ichigo Kurosaki is an ordinary high school student, until his family is attacked by a Hollow, a corrupted spirit that seeks to devour human souls. It is then that he meets a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki, who is injured while she is protecting Ichigo's family from the assailant. In order to save the family from him, Ichigo accepts Rukia's offer to take her powers, becoming a Soul Reaper as a result.

However, with Rukia unable to regain her own power, Ichigo is faced with the daunting task of hunting down the Hollows plaguing his town. However, he is not alone in his fight, as he is later joined by his friends: classmates Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryuu Ishida, who have their own unique abilities. As Ichigo and his comrades grow accustomed to their new responsibilities and support each other on and off the battlefield, the young Soul Reaper soon discovers that the Hollows are hardly the least of his problems.
