Keigo Maki , author of the Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie ( Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san ) franchise, shared an update through his official Twitter account informing that the final chapter will be published on February 18 in Japan . It should be remembered that since last month it had already been reported that the work was in its final stretch, so the fans were already prepared for this announcement.

It should be noted that the manga inspired an anime adaptation in 2022, however, if the original manga ends it means that the chances of a second season decrease considerably (this is because anime productions usually have the objective of increasing sales of the original work, but the latter ends, then that intention is lost).

For his part, Maki began publishing this manga through his Twitter account under the title Kawaii dake ja Nai Onnanoko , and later began publishing it through Kodansha 's Magazine Pocket service in February 2019. The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation, produced by Doga Kobo studios and released in the Summer-2022 season (July-September) , with Crunchyroll in charge of its distribution.
