The popular American YouTuber “ Johnny Somali ” continues to create buzz in Japan. After having an incident with the police during a live broadcast with " Rengoku Koroaki ", Johnny kept quiet for a few days. However, he has recently made a name for himself again by broadcasting from the Tokyo Disneyland premises , hurling insults and playing racist music at full volume through a speaker while broadcasting.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, "Johnny Somali" can be seen playing racist music. His live streaming setup allows his followers to donate a few dollars to play songs through a speaker, and he has done little to discourage them from picking up songs of a racist nature.
According to various websites, Tokyo Disneyland prohibits certain types of live broadcasts, and the actions of “Johnny Somali” certainly fall under prohibited activities . So how has he managed to get away with it? Through repeated claims that he was not broadcasting live, even though he clearly was. It has also been known that he told someone that he was on a FaceTime call with his family.
This is not the first controversial episode starring Johnny Somali in Japan. Just a few days ago, youtuber “ Guts (@g_menguts_ch) ”, known for taking justice into his own hand, had “Johnny Somali” issue a statement of apology , vowing not to repeat the trouble he had caused by harassing the passengers of the train in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
One of the popular Japanese Twitter profiles, which has been posting clips of “Johnny Somali” for the past few weeks, shared the video showing the livestreamer playing racist music at Disneyland. In just over an hour, this clip has already reached more than half a million views.
Johnny Somali continues to generate controversy in Japan and authorities are evaluating what action will be taken regarding his inappropriate behavior at the theme park. These incidents have highlighted the need for stricter standards and enforcement of existing regulations to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future.
