A press
release from Kodansha announced that Alto and Yuunagi 's
light novels , " The Banished Court Magician Aims
to Become the Strongest ( Mikata ga Yowasugite Hojo Mahou ni
Tesshiteita Kyuutei Mahoushi, Tsuihou sarete Saikyou wo
Mezashimasu )", are getting an anime adaptation. The release listed
production details and the voice cast, and revealed that the premiere
is slated for the Fall-2025 (October-December) period , as well as
comments from the authors:

an anime. I hope the never-ending story of Alec and his three companions
reaches more people through the anime! I'd also like to take this

Alto began publishing the story
through its independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in
October 2020, and ended it in September 2022, with Kodansha publishing the printed
volumes with illustrations by Yuunagi . A manga adaptation
by Yuki Monji has been published through Kodansha 's Magazine
Pocket service since July 2021, and is still in print.
Synopsis
of The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest
"This
party doesn't need an incompetent mage who can only use support magic. You're
fired, Alec Yugret." Suddenly, Alec, a court mage who had joined the crown
prince's party to help him conquer dungeons, was expelled from the party. Not
only was he expelled from the party, but the crown prince's harassment also got
him banished from the royal palace. A friend from the "magic academy"
approached Alec, who was on the verge of despair. "Hey, Alec. Wanna try
conquering the dungeon with us again?" So, along with the friends he used
to be part of the party with, Alec begins his second journey in life. This is
the adventure story of a former court mage who had been abandoned. Four years
ago, the "Last Period," a group of four who had been called "legendary,"
began to spread their name throughout the world.
