In a previous news , we told you that the light
novel " There's No Freaking Way I'll Be Your Lover! Unless… (
Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Nai jan, Muri Muri! (※Muri ja
Nakatta!?) )" by Mikami Teren , which has already surpassed
500,000 copies sold, will have its own anime adaptation for Summer-2025
(July-September) . In addition, a teaser visual, a promotional video
and details about the cast and production team were revealed.
Now, a new
trailer for the adaptation has been released, and it's been confirmed
that Kana Ichinose will play Satsuki Koto and Takako
Tanaka will play Kaho Koyanagi in the anime. The premiere is
scheduled for July 2025!
On the
other hand, the details revealed so far include:
- The voice cast includes Kanna
Nakamura as Renako Amaori , who commented that she became a huge
fan of the story after reading the original work and highlighted the charm
of each character, highlighting Renako's empathy and kindness. Saori
Oonishi plays Mai Ouzuka and reflected on the depth of love
between girls, highlighting how moving the experience was.
Meanwhile, Yukari Anzai plays Ajisai Sena , who expressed
her excitement at portraying such a thoughtful and expressive character.
- The production team
includes Natsumi Uchinuma ( SELECTION PROJECT,
Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman. ) as director of the anime at Studio
MOTHER , Naruhisa Arakawa ( Spice and
Wolf, Twin Star Exorcists, Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman. ) in charge
of writing and supervising the scripts, and Kojikoji ,
who is in charge of character design and animation direction, this being
his first time in this role.
- The story follows Renako
Amaori, a young woman who, after a lonely time in middle school, decides
to reinvent herself in high school to become a normal student with normal
friends. However,
her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Mai Ouzuka, a model and
her school's star. Although the two quickly develop a close friendship,
Mai confesses to having a crush on Renako, sparking a series of emotions
as Renako tries to convince Mai that being friends is better than being a
couple.
