After the broadcast of the final episode for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Makoto Akui , Blue Orchestra ( Ao no Orchestra ), it was confirmed that the project will have a second season . However, no release date was announced .
Akui began publishing the manga through the Manga One digital service of the publisher Shogakukan in April 2017. Previously, Akui was in charge of the manga adaptation of the feature film Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda ( The Anthem of the Heart ), published between July 2015 and July 2016 in Japan.
Synopsis of Blue Orchestra
Aono Hajime was a prodigious violinist until he tired of playing the violin for personal reasons. Now, in his third year of high school, he struggles to decide his academic path. One day at school, he meets Akine Ritsuko, an exalted novice violinist who wants to enroll in a high school with a distinguished orchestra club. Upon approaching Ritsuko and being returned to the world of violinists, time begins to move again for him. This is the beginning of a youth drama where sounds and hearts resonate in harmony.
