After the broadcast
of the final episode, the production of a second season was announced for the
anime adaptation of the light novels written by Keiso and
illustrated by Kureta , “ Ishura ”. The statement
did not reveal any scheduled release date, so we will have to wait for more
information.
Keiso began
publishing the novels through the Shousetsuka ni Narou service
in June 2017, and they are still in publication. The Kadokawa publishing
house began its paper publication with illustrations by Kureta in
September 2019. A manga adaptation by Meguri is published in
the Monthly Shonen Magazine from the Kodansha publishing
house in March 2021.
Ishura
Synopsis
In a
world where the Demon King has died, a horde of demigods capable of destroying
him has inherited the world. A master fencer capable of taking down his
opponents with a single glance; a spearman so fast he can break the sound
barrier; a badass wyvern that fights with three legendary weapons at once; an
all-powerful magician who can give life to thoughts; an angelic assassin who
inflicts instant death. Eager to achieve the title of “True Hero,” each of
these champions pursues challenges against formidable enemies and sparks
conflicts between them. The battle begins to determine who is the most powerful
of the powerful.
