After the broadcast of the final episode, the production of a second season was announced for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Keiso and illustrated by Kureta , “ Ishura ”. The statement did not reveal any scheduled release date, so we will have to wait for more information.

Keiso began publishing the novels through the
Shousetsuka ni Narou service in June 2017, and they are still in publication. The Kadokawa publishing house began its paper publication with illustrations by Kureta in September 2019. A manga adaptation by Meguri is published in the Monthly Shonen Magazine from the Kodansha publishing house in March 2021.

Ishura Synopsis

In a world where the Demon King has died, a horde of demigods capable of destroying him has inherited the world. A master fencer capable of taking down his opponents with a single glance; a spearman so fast he can break the sound barrier; a badass wyvern that fights with three legendary weapons at once; an all-powerful magician who can give life to thoughts; an angelic assassin who inflicts instant death. Eager to achieve the title of “True Hero,” each of these champions pursues challenges against formidable enemies and sparks conflicts between them. The battle begins to determine who is the most powerful of the powerful.
