They believe that Jujutsu Kaisen was left without a director again

In many previous articles we have talked about the reputation of MAPPA studios within the anime industry. Although praised for its blockbuster productions such as “ Jujutsu Kaisen ” and “ Shingeki no Kyojin ,” the studio has gone through a considerable amount of controversies related to the exploitation of its animators, which in turn stem from the studio exceeding its production capacity. by accepting more projects than you are capable of carrying out.

Precisely for this reason, every time someone related to the studio publishes something it goes viral, especially when it has something to do with their work, and that is precisely what happened recently with Shota “Gosso” Goshozono, who was in charge of directing the second season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” on MAPPA.

The director took to Twitter reporting that he was looking for work , and considering that MAPPA has lost important directing and producing members like Seeong-Hu Park, Ryu Nakayama, Makoto Kimura, and Fuko Noda in recent years, fans were quick to think that Goshozono He had also left the company:

  • « I have created a Twitter account. You can send me anime-related job requests or contact me through this account. Sorry for this sudden announcement. If they are not interested, they can ignore it. However, if you have any job offers for Shota Goshozono, please send them to the email listed in this profile ," the director wrote.

The words are enough to believe that the director has lost his job after leaving the MAPPA studios and is now looking for an opportunity. This was immediately shared on social networks to report that “Jujutsu Kaisen had once again been left without a director”, and considering that the third season is already announced, this only worried fans of the franchise.

However, nothing could be further from the truth. It turns out that Goshozono is looking for some work outside of the anime industry, since he currently has his hands full in that business. All of this turned out to be a confusion stemming from the fact that the director failed to explain himself in his initial post, and also that it took him eight hours to post a clarification:

  • « Clarification: Shota Goshozono's employment situation is basically full. If there are any interesting outside jobs, such as magazines, that he can do in his spare time for a change of scenery, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are currently unable to accept anime-related jobs. If you have any work related to TWICE, please contact us », He clarified.

While the community is always ready to crucify MAPPA studios for the slightest reason, this was not the case. Still, directors really need to improve their writing skills to avoid these types of misunderstandings that get them into trouble too.
