Love could triumph in Boku no Hero Academia

This article includes spoilers for the “Boku no Hero Academia” manga. Reader discretion is advised.

As we previously reported, the “ Boku no Hero Academia ” manga is in its final stretch, just a few chapters away from reaching its conclusion. Even though the war is over and the heroes have emerged victorious, fans were really excited about the most recent chapter (or rather, the leaks of it), as it seems that there will be the romantic development that they have been waiting for for more than a year. one of each.

And no, we are not talking about “ BakuDeku ” or “ KiriDeku ” or all those homosexual ships that came when the fujoshi discovered this franchise. We are referring specifically to the relationship between Ochako Uraraka and Izuku Midoriya, the protagonist. Certainly the author Kohei Horikoshi has not stood out to date in adequately writing a romance, but the closing of the chapter has rekindled the hopes of the fan community.

As the heroes and would-be heroes work together to rebuild the city following the recent war events, Ochako appears to be maintaining a fake smile . It turns out that she is still feeling devastated by the death of Himiko Toga, the villain. In case you don't already remember, Himiko Toga died during the battle saving Ochako herself by transferring all of her blood to him. The scene traumatized Ochako, who was immobilized and could not prevent her new friend from dying next to her with a smile.

Although Ochako has every hope that the world can be happy, she can't help but feel sad about Toga's death. For the same reason, he disappears one night, worrying his colleagues. While Ochako cries alone on a hill, the one who appears behind her is Deku shouting her name and closing the chapter. We can see some flashes on Deku's panel, which means that he used what's left of the One For All to get there (which eliminates the possibility that he arrived as a group, meaning it's definitely just the two of them) .

Will romance be the definitive ingredient for “Boku no Hero Academia” to end on a good note for fans who followed the story for more than ten years? There is no doubt that it would be an interesting addition and would put the franchise at the top of the trends shortly before its end, but will Kohei Horikoshi really do it? Fans are already debating about it:

  • « #BakuDeku is finally dead. Thank God. I have been praying for this day for a long time .

  • « He's not officially dead yet, we still have to wait until next week. By the way, I am pro IzuOcha (shipping between Izuku and Ochako) ».

  • Man, I really wish Horikoshi cared more about developing IzuOcha's romantic relationship (shipping between Izuku and Ochako), then maybe I'd be excited to see what happens with them ."

  • « You know that IzuOcha becoming canon doesn't mean the death of BakuDeku (shipping between Bakugo and Izuku), right? It may surpass it in being canon, but people will continue shipping BakuDeku, and if you think they won't, you are very naive .

  • « Did people really believe it was going to happen? Bahahaha lmao ».

  • « I just want to point out how sad it is that we are testing the weird side of Boku no Hero Academia that the protagonist is not gay. We love MHA, but they want to make it gay for no reason .

  • « So you can't comfort a friend? Does it have to be love to comfort someone? ».

  • LMAO maybe instead of focusing on seeing Uraraka only as a love interest, they should look at her character, her pain, and her growth, instead of seeing her only as someone Deku should date ."

  • « At this point, it's not just a lack of reading skills... it's really a troubling emotional deficiency. Guys, it's sociopathy to think “the IzuOcha canon” when Ochako is devastated by Toga and obviously Izuku only wants to talk about her because she can understand her thanks to Tenko . »

  • « Why does everyone assume that they are going to confess? ».

  • The manga is about to end and you still don't understand that Ochako is going beyond Izuku and is finally showing her character development enough for you to reduce her to a mediocre ship ."

  • « I don't hate the IzuOcha (shipping between Izuku and Ochako) or anything (seriously, I don't hate), but she is suffering and the only thing they care about is that she and Izuku get in a relationship. "Izuku would want her to be fine mentally, emotionally, and physically before even trying to start a relationship with her ."
