During a special event, the details for the anime
adaptation of the video game “ Disney Twisted-Wonderland ” were finally
announced. The press release indicated that the adaptation will
premiere in October 2025 through the Disney Plus service and that it will have
three seasons titled: “Episode of Heartslabyul”, “Episode of
Savanaclaw”, and “Episode of Octavinelle”.
Disney Twisted-Wonderland is an adventure role-playing
mobile game with simulation elements, developed by Aniplex in collaboration
with Walt Disney Japan. The title combines the theme of classic
Disney fairy tales with a dark and gothic approach, and was originally released
in Japan in March 2020. Later, an English version was released in January 2022.
The story begins when the player, who has no memory of
how they got there, wakes up in this mysterious world and is welcomed into the
academy. Throughout the game, the player interacts with students from
different dormitories, each inspired by a Disney universe, while trying to find
a way to return home.
Each bedroom is based on a classic Disney villain, and
its theme reflects the universe of the corresponding film:

Savanaclaw – Based on Scar
from The Lion King .

Octavinelle – Inspired by
Ursula from The Little Mermaid .

Hades from Hercules .

Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty .
Synopsis of Disney Twisted-Wonderland
Perhaps there are more “villains” than meets the eye…
Summoned by a magic mirror to Twisted Wonderland, a world completely different
from your own, you arrive at Night Raven College, a prestigious arcane academy.
With nowhere else to go, you accept the hospitality of the masked headmaster
and begin searching for a way home. You quickly realize that the students at
this school are as talented as they are dysfunctional—squabbling and
competition are the order of the day. Can you work with them and eventually return
to where you came from? And what secrets lie hidden within the wicked hearts of
these students?
