On the
official site for the anime adaptation of Reiji Miyajima ’s manga , “ Kanojo, Okarishimasu ( Rent A Girlfriend )”,
a new visual for the fourth season of the project was revealed. The release
listed that the premiere is scheduled for the Summer-2025 period
(July-September) and that it will last for two cours (six months of
broadcast), although with a break in between.
For his part, Reiji Miyajima began publishing the manga " Kanojo, Okarishimasu " through the Weekly Shonen Magazine of the Kodansha publishing house in July 2017. The anime adaptation has a total of thirty-six episodes to date, divided into three seasons released in Summer-2020 (July-September) , Summer-2022 and Summer-2023.
Synopsis of Kanojo, Okarishimasu
Kazuya
Kinoshita is a 20-year-old college student who has a wonderful girlfriend: the
brilliant Mami Nanami. But suddenly, not anymore. Without warning, Mami breaks
up with him, leaving him heartbroken and lonely. Seeking to ease his pain, he
hires a rental girlfriend through an online app. His partner is Chizuru
Mizuhara, who through her unparalleled beauty and cute demeanor, manages to win
Kazuya’s affections. But after reading similar experiences from other clients
Chizuru had had, Kazuya is certain that her caring personality and warm smile
were just an act to play with his heart, and rates her poorly.
Aggravated,
Chizuru calls him out on his shameless hypocrisy, revealing her true
temperamental personality. However, this one-sided exchange is cut short when
Kazuya discovers that his grandmother has collapsed. They rush to the hospital
and find Kazuya's grandmother already in good condition. Bewildered by
Chizuru's presence, the grandmother asks who this girl could be. On impulse,
Kazuya introduces her as his real girlfriend, forcing Chizuru to play the part.
But with Kazuya still pinned to Mami, how long can this difficult client and
reluctant rental girlfriend keep up their act?
