It seems
that production issues have not given respite to the second season of
" My Happy Marriage ( Watashi no Shiawase na
Kekkon ) ". As we mentioned in our previous news , Episode 25 of the franchise
had already been delayed by a week, but now Kadokawa has confirmed that
Episode 26, the season finale, has also been affected.
The
episode, originally scheduled to air on March 31, has now been postponed to
April 9 on Japanese television, and the same will apply to its global premiere
on Netflix. It
seems this second season has had a difficult ending, but at least there's a new
date on the calendar.
This is the
data collected so far:
- The first season of
" My Happy Marriage " debuted in the Summer 2023 season
(July-September) with a total of twelve episodes. The series was
well-received both in Japan and internationally, notable for its quality
animation and heartfelt storytelling. Netflix handled its global
distribution, allowing it to reach a wider audience outside of Japan.
- The original story comes from
the light novels written by Akumi Agitogi , who began
publishing them independently in 2018. Later, Kadokawa acquired
the series and began its publication in physical format in January 2019,
with illustrations by Tsukiho Tsukioka , thus expanding
its popularity.
- The manga adaptation,
illustrated by Rito Kousaka , began serialization in
December 2018 via Square Enix 's digital service, Gangan
Online . This format has continued to be published, offering a
visually enriched view of the story.
- The production team
includes Takehiro Kubota as director at Kinema
Citrus , Ami Satou , Takahito Oonishi and Gakaitai
Suzume as supervisors and scriptwriters, Sachiko Yasuda as
character designer and animation director, and Evan Call as
music composer.
