The
official website for Hakusensha 's Hana Yume Ai digital
magazine announced Tuesday that the Angel Sanctuary: Tokyo
Chronos manga , created by acclaimed author Kaori Yuki ,
is nearing its narrative climax . The publication previews
that the series is heading toward a "final battle" that
will mark the conclusion of this dark and enigmatic spiritual sequel to the
Angel Sanctuary universe.
A new
volume now available in Japan
Along
with the announcement of the climax, the fourth compiled book volume of the manga was released in
Japan , available since Tuesday, May 14. This new volume
continues to delve deeper into the mysteries surrounding its young protagonist,
as the pieces of the final conflict begin to fall into place.
A new
chapter in the Angel Sanctuary universe
Angel
Sanctuary: Tokyo Chronos debuted in April 2022 as a story set after the events of
the original manga , but designed as a standalone and
accessible work . This was stated by Kaori Yuki herself at the release
of the first volume in January 2023. The story follows Kuon Kanae ,
a high school student who was present in Tokyo the day white feathers
began falling from the sky . Since then, Kuon has been noticing
strange things: invisible wings on people and black
letters floating in the sky .

Kaori Yuki
is widely recognized for her detailed visual style and dark themes. Her
original work, Angel Sanctuary , was serialized in Hana
to Yume magazine from 1994 to 2000 , spanning a total
of 20 volumes . The series was so influential that it inspired
a three-episode OVA adaptation in 2000 .
In addition
to Angel Sanctuary, Yuki's other works have been published in English,
including Count Cain , The Cain Saga , Fairy
Cube , Godchild , and Grand Guignol Orchestra by Viz
Media ; as well as Demon from Afar and Alice
in Murderland by Yen Press ; and Beauty and
the Beast of Paradise Lost under Kodansha Comics .

Chronos nears its conclusion, fans can look forward to a final dose of
supernatural drama, gothic symbolism, and intense twists in a story that
