The anime
adaptation of the fantasy romantic comedy manga The Stunned Hero
and the Assassin Princesses has unveiled its first heroine with
a trailer centered on Ciel , a young woman harboring a dark
secret: she is the daughter of the Demon King . The anime is
slated to premiere in Japan in July 2025 .
Voice
actress Iori Seki plays Ciel, who will appear alongside the
other two protagonists, Anemone (voiced by Hitomi Ueda)
and Goa (voiced by Haruka Shiraishi). The three will also
perform the series' ending theme song , "Suki
Magazine . "
Who is
Ciel?
In the
first revealed illustrations, Ciel appears as a fragile-looking young woman,
dressed in an elegant black dress, with purple hair and scarlet
eyes . She is seen sitting on the ground with an annoyed expression,
leaning with her arms and legs stretched out in front of her. Despite her
delicate appearance, her gaze conveys a clearly defiant attitude.
A story
of love, death and many surprises
The anime's
official website describes the story as a "harem romantic comedy
with death" starring Toto , a hero with
exceptional abilities but an extreme shyness that prevents him
from forming a group. Stuck in the beginner's city, his life takes an
unexpected turn when three mysterious and beautiful women—Ciel, Anemone, and
Goa—invites him to join their team.
Motivated
by his first real adventure, Toto agrees, unaware that his new companions want
to kill him . Thus begins a story filled with chaos, romantic tension,
and unpredictable situations where the protagonist loses consciousness every
time he is near a woman .
An
experienced production team
The
original manga, written by Norishiro-chan and illustrated
by Yukiji Setsuda , is serialized in Akita Shoten 's Weekly
Shonen Champion magazine . The anime version is being produced
by CONNECT studio under the direction of Noriaki
Akitaya . The script is by Michiko Yokote ,
while Takao Sano is in charge of character designs and Shun
Narita composes the music.
With its
mix of comedy, romance, action, and a protagonist who can barely stay
conscious, The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses promises
to be one of the most unique and entertaining releases of summer 2025.
