This
Friday, the official site and social networks of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu
no Yaiba – Infinity Castle published the main trailer of
the long-awaited first film of this final saga. The trailer shows unseen scenes
full of action, as well as anticipating the outcome of the final
confrontation between the Demon Hunters and Muzan Kibutsuji.
Aimer
and LiSA take care of the main topics
Along with
the new trailer, the film's theme songs were also announced.
The renowned artist Aimer will perform the song "A
World Where the Sun Never Rises", while LiSA –
who already made her mark with the theme of "Mugen Train" – returns
with the emotional "Shine in the Cruel Night". Both
pieces will accompany the most intense moments of the film.
Release
date confirmed in Japan and the West
The
film will be released in Japanese theaters on July 18 (local
time). As for its international release, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures confirmed
that it will arrive worldwide starting in August, starting
with the United States and Canada on September 12. More dates and
territories will be announced on the official website soon.
As part of
the promotion, a new official visual starring Akaza, one of the
franchise's most iconic demons, was also revealed. This image is part of the
visual campaign that will accompany the theatrical release.
Full
soundtrack and final battle
In
addition, it was announced that the original soundtracks of
the entire franchise, as well as the orchestral concert albums,
will be available on streaming platforms from June 29 at 5:00 p.m.
(Spain time).
Directed
by Haruo Sotozaki and produced by the prestigious Ufotable studio,
this film will mark the beginning of the last great battle. Akira
Matsushima returns as character designer and chief animation director,
while Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina will be in
charge of the music.
