What is
My Awkward Senpai about?
Originally
published by Makoto Kudo on his X/Twitter account in March
2019, My Awkward Senpai began serialization in Square
Enix's Young Gangan magazine in December of that same
year. To date, it has nine compilation volumes, and the tenth will be
released on September 25 in Japan.
The story
revolves around Azusa Kannawa, a senpai with serious problems
expressing her emotions. Everything changes when she meets her new
kouhai, Yū Kamegawa, an adorable, nerdy and surprisingly easy to
get along with. As new feelings develop, the clumsy senpai will have to face
her most vulnerable side.
With its
premiere getting closer and closer, My Awkward Senpai is
shaping up to be one of the most charming romantic comedies of the upcoming
fall season.
