After a
long wait of seven years, Yoshiyuki Nishi's manga
Lycanthrope Bōken Hoken (Lycanthrope Adventure Insurance) will
finally publish its fourth compilation volume. According to the
publisher Shueisha, the new volume will be officially released on September
19, thus marking the return of a story that had been paused since the
release of volume three in March 2018.
A world
of magic, swords... and policies
Set in
a fantasy universe with swords and sorcery, the manga follows the
activities of a very unconventional insurance company: Lycanthrope
Adventure Insurance. This company is dedicated to offering coverage and
assistance to adventurers who face all kinds of dangers while looking for
glory, fortune or simply a path in the shadows. With an original and humorous
approach, the series combines action with a subtle critique of the bureaucracy
of fantasy worlds.
A series
with history and editorial changes
Yoshiyuki
Nishi began
publishing the manga in October 2016 within Shueisha's Young
Jump magazine. A year later, in September 2017, the series was moved
to the digital platform Tonari no Young Jump, where it continues to
this day.
Yoshiyuki
Nishi, a recognized pen
The author
is widely known for his work Muhyo & Roji's Bureau of Supernatural
Investigation, which was licensed by Viz Media in North
America and published in its entirety with 18 compiled volumes.
This series was also adapted into anime, with a first season released in August
2018 and a second in 2020, both airing on Crunchyroll.
With the
announcement of this new volume, fans of Lycanthrope Adventure
Insurance can finally look forward to the continuation of a story that
is as unusual as it is enchanting.
