Tezuka Cultural Award 2023 and received the award for Best

What is
Hirayasumi anime about?
The
publisher VIZ Media, which publishes the manga in English and is
also involved in the co-production of the anime with Shogakukan-Shueisha
Productions, describes the story as follows:
Hiroto
Ikuta is 29 years old and has no girlfriend, no stable job, and no plan for the
future... And I couldn't be happier. Their laid-back attitude is not easy for
everyone to understand, especially in a world fraught with anxiety, confusion,
and loss. But both he and those around him are trying to make sense of what we
call life.
With an
animated and live-action adaptation on the way, Hirayasumi promises
to thrill new audiences with its warm approach to the everyday and the human.
