When one
formula ends, another begins! Despite the fact that in June the closure of the
seasonal illustrations of the anime The Apothecary Diaries was
announced, the visual story continues with the beginning of "Chapter
2". The official account of the anime in X (formerly Twitter)
surprised this July 22 with a new image starring Maomao and Pairin,
wrapped in a summer atmosphere among bellflowers.
The
illustration conveys the heat of summer as both characters, renowned for their
contrasting personalities, are seen posing among these delicate flowers that
symbolize gratitude and perseverance in Japanese culture.
The
story continues with a sequel in production
A sequel
to the anime is currently in production, reinforcing the team behind
the series' commitment to expanding the universe of this intriguing medical
story set in the imperial court.
A
top-notch team behind a great project
The anime
is directed by Norihiko Naganuma, known for his work on The
Ancient Magus' Bride, who is also in charge of the composition of the
series. The assistant director is Akinori Fudesaka (Tsuredure
Children), while the production is in the hands of TOHO animation
STUDIO and OLM.
The
original work, written by Natsu Hyuuga and illustrated
by Touko Shino, has gained popularity in both light novel format
and its animated adaptation.
