During a
special event held at the Yokohama Budokan, it was officially
confirmed that the Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc anime will
have a third season. Although the release date has not yet been
revealed, fans can already celebrate the return of this iconic Japanese
wrestling title.
Along with
the announcement, a promotional illustration was unveiled
showing Kinnikuman smiling as he poses as a bodybuilder, with a collage of
scenes from the anime in the background. This art serves as a visual preview of
the return of the muscular fights that have marked the franchise.
New
character song on the way
In addition
to the announcement of the new season, it was also revealed that a new
song inspired by a character from the series is in production. This
tradition of creating themes dedicated to the eccentric Kinnikuman fighters
dates back to the anime's original broadcast in 1983, and will continue into
this new stage. For now, no further details have been shared about this song.
A
classic that is still valid
Kinnikuman, also known as Ultimate
Muscle in its international version, is a work created by the
duo Yudetamago that began to be published in 1979. The story
follows a bumbling superhero who discovers himself to be the prince of
Planet Kinniku, a world populated by struggling superhumans. Along his way,
he transforms into one of the most powerful fighters in the universe.
The first
two seasons of the Perfect Origin arc were directed by Akira
Sato at the Production I.G. studio. The creative team
includes Makoto Fukami in the composition of the series, Hirotaka
Marufuji as character designer and Yasuharu Takanashi in
music.
A very
epic return to the ring
In this new
installment, Kinnikuman returns to the ring in an intense
three-way battle between the Seigi, Akuma, and Perfect
Chojin factions, where the origins of the Chojin fighters are
revealed. The anime is available on anime platforms for audiences outside of
Japan.
