The anime
adaptation of the manga Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right (Chanto
Suenai Kyūketsuki-chan), the work of Kyōsuke Nishiki, has
unveiled a new character-focused trailer that reveals two new cast members.
This funny supernatural comedy will arrive on Japanese television in October
2025, and it is already beginning to generate expectations among fans of
the genre.
New
voices join the production
In the
recent trailer, it was confirmed that the cast is expanded with the actors:
- Katsumi Fukuhara to play Daichi
Chiba
- Yūya Hirose will voice Satoru
Deguchi
Both
characters join a cast led by:
- Minami Tanaka as Luna Ishikawa,
a vampire who doesn't know how to suck blood and hides as a sophomore at
Kashinokidai High School.
- Kenshō Ono as Tatsuta Ōtori,
her classmate who discovers her secret and becomes her "mom",
helping her practice her bites.
- M.A.O as Eiko Sakuma
- Ikumi
Hasegawa as Misa Kusunoki
Production details and release date
The anime
will be produced by studio feel., under the direction of Sayaka
Yamai (Dungeon People). Yuniko Ayana, known for her
work on the BanG Dream! franchise and Given, is in
charge of the script, while Takuya Tani designs the characters
and Tomoki Kikuya composes the music. The musical production
will be in charge of Lantis.
The opening
theme will be performed by H△G with
the title "Seishun no Silhouette" (The Silhouette
of Youth), and the closing theme "Senkō Hanabi" (Flares)
will also feature the voice of Minami Tanaka, the lead actress.
The
premiere is scheduled for October 2025 in Japan, through Tokyo
MX, Kansai TV, BS Asahi, AT-X, U-NEXT, and other streaming platforms.
A
vampire with trouble biting
The
original manga follows the life of Luna Ishikawa, a clumsy little
vampire who wants to appear mysterious and dangerous in front of her
classmates. However, his problem is that he doesn't even know how to suck blood
properly. Her secret is discovered by Tatsuta Ōtori, a student who
decides to help her and becomes her peculiar mother figure.
The work
was released by Kyōsuke Nishiki in May 2021 in Kadokawa's Monthly
Dragon Age magazine. It currently has eight compilation
volumes, the most recent published on April 9, 2025.
Manga
also conquers the West
Yen
Press has
licensed the series for publication in English and released the first volume
on July 22, 2025. In addition, Kadokawa began
distributing the English-language chapters through BookWalker Global and
other platforms on June 20.
With its
eccentric humor, endearing characters and a different approach within the
supernatural school genre, Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right is
shaping up to be one of the most refreshing comedies of the fall season.
