The
official website of the anime Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You (Dōse,
Koishite Shimaunda., also known as KoiShima) has confirmed that
its second season will premiere in 2026 through
the Japanese channels TBS and BS11. The
long-awaited sequel will once again be directed by Junichi Yamamoto,
who already directed the first season.
First
look at the protagonists in their adult stage
Alongside
the announcement, two new promotional illustrations were revealed: an overall
image of the season and a character visual featuring the protagonists already
turned into adults, suggesting a significant time jump in the plot.
The
characters confirmed in the new image are:

A
romance that conquered thousands of fans
The first
season of the anime premiered on January 9, 2025, and was
streamed on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and dubbing for
multiple regions, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, and the
Middle East.
The
animation was handled by Typhoon Graphics, while the creative team
included Yū Murai and Nagisa Nario in the
scripts, Io Shiiba in the character design, and the music was
composed by Keiji Inai, known for his work on Is It Wrong
to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.
A manga
that does not stop growing
The
original story was written and illustrated by Haruka Mitsui and
began publication in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine
in October 2020. To date, the manga has more than 1.25 million copies
in circulation and its 12th volume will be published
in Japan on August 12, 2025.
Kodansha
USA Publishing distributes
the manga in English, and its ninth volume in physical format is
scheduled for December 30, 2025.
A new
season with more maturity and emotions
With the
promise of showing its protagonists in a more adult stage, the second season
of Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You aims to explore the
consequences of teenage love in the long term.
Fans can
expect more drama, a lot more personal growth, and heartwarming moments when
the series returns sometime in 2026.
