The anime
adaptation of the light novel series Reincarnated as the Daughter of
the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits has confirmed its premiere
in Japan for October 5, 2025. Along with the date, a new trailer,
key art, the introduction of two additional characters, and the details of the
musical themes that will accompany the story were shared.
New
voices and official themes
The cast
adds Masaaki Mizunaka, who will voice Ravisel, and Shoya
Chiba, who will play Gadiel. In the musical section, Kaho will
perform the opening theme entitled "Mahou" ("Magic"),
while Yui Nishio will be in charge of the ending with the
song "Family". Both melodies can be heard in the
recently released trailer.
Origins
of the work and production
The Reincarnated
as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits light novels were
originally published between September 2016 and November 2020 on the Shōsetsuka
ni Narō portal. Fujimi Shobo subsequently released a
9-volume print edition under the Kadokawa Books imprint. The
story is written by Matsuura and illustrated by keepout.
The anime
is directed by Toshinori Fukushima at the J.C.Staff studio.
The composition and script fall to Toko Machida, while Mina
Oosawa designs the characters.
Promotional art and synopsis
The new
promotional image shows protagonist Ellen Vankrieft unleashing
an orb of glowing magic, while in the background appear her parents embracing,
Rovel wielding her sword, and characters Ravisel and Gadiel with contrasting
expressions.
The story
follows Ellen, a young woman who is reincarnated from modern Japan
as a half-spirit. His father is Rovel, the legendary hero who saved the
kingdom, and his mother, Origin, is the primordial queen of all spirits. Gifted
with an outsized power to manipulate the elements, Ellen will use both her
memories of her past life and her new abilities to protect her family.
