Amid rumors
and speculation, the author of Baka to Test came out to calm
fans on Thursday by confirming that there are no plans for a third
season of the anime. The message comes after there was talk on social
networks of a possible return of the franchise.
A direct
message to followers
"Recently
there have been many strange movements, but don't worry, there is currently no
progress towards a third season," wrote the creator, who also took the
opportunity to remember that the anime will be back through broadcasts.

Baka to
Test to Shoukanjuu,
better known as Baka to Test, is based on the light novels written
by Kenji Inoue. The franchise had two anime seasons between 2010
and 2011, in addition to an OVA, and managed to consolidate a loyal fan base
thanks to its school comedy and endearing characters.
