Monster Strike's trajectory in anime

The franchise was born as a mobile video game from MIXI, released in Japan in 2013 for iOS and Android, with an English version in 2014 that closed in 2017. The game also came to Nintendo 3DS in 2015.

The first anime in the franchise, Monster Strike the Animation, debuted online in October 2015 with 52 episodes. Since then, the saga has added multiple seasons, specials and spin-offs focused on characters such as Arthur, Lucifer and Solomon. In 2019, new installments such as Arthur Kishiō no Kakusei and Noah Hakobune no Kyūseishu were released, while Lucifer: The Final Arc debuted in 2020 with English subtitles.

The franchise also explored innovative formats, such as the Hareruya: Fated Choice anime (2020), which allowed viewers to decide the ending in real-time through platforms such as YouTube and Abema TV.

Monster Strike on the big screen

The saga has had several films. The first, Monster Strike The Movie, was released in December 2016. Later came Sora no Kanata in 2018 and Lucifer Dawn of Despair in 2020, the latter available on Crunchyroll since August 2021.

With Deadverse Reloaded, the franchise is set to go one step further and conquer traditional television in Japan.
