The
publisher Kadokawa confirmed that the fifth compilation volume
of the manga Mobile Suits Gundam: Red Giant 03rd MS Team (Kidō
Senshi Gundam: Akai 3-kyosei), by Tatsuma Ejiri, will also be the
last in the series. The release is scheduled for October 23 in
Japan.
Story
set after the Battle of Jaburo
The plot of
the manga is set after Zeon's failed attack on the Jaburo base in
South America. The story follows the unity of the Earth Federation as
it pursues Zeon's forces, reduced in numbers and in retreat.
Publication
and career of the author
Ejiri began
serializing the work in Kadokawa's Gundam Ace magazine
in March 2023. The fourth compilation volume was published on March
25, 2024, leaving the next volume as the definitive closure of the story.
The mangaka
is also known for P2! - Let's Play Pingpong!, published in Weekly
Shonen Jump between 2006 and 2008, ending with seven volumes.
Likewise, in collaboration with Ukyō Kodachi, he developed Infini-T
Force: Arc to the Future, published between 2015 and 2020 in Monthly
Hero's magazine, whose final edition arrived in February 2021.
International
availability
Part of the
work Infini-T Force was published in English by Udon
Entertainment and Nakama Press, who released up to the
fourth and third volumes respectively. With Gundam: Red Giant 03rd MS
Team, the expectation now lies on whether this closure will also reach
other markets outside of Japan.
