The fans of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- you can now mark your calendars. After the recent conclusion of the third season, the expected one fourth season (whose production had already been confirmed) finally has an official release window. During the livestream special of MF Bunko J's Fall School Festival 2025, the publisher Kadokawa presented the first main trailer from the sequel, along with a key new visual.
Premiere in April 2026 and New Cast Member
The trailer confirmed that the fourth season de Re:ZERO will premiere in april 2026. In addition, he introduced a new key character for the plot: Reid Astrea, the legendary swordsman who lived 400 years ago and was the first "Saint of the Sword", founder of the Astrea family.
Voice cast
The voice cast adds an industry legend to this new role:
- Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata in Gintama, Kyon in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) as Reid Astrea.
Context of the Franchise
This announcement comes immediately after the third season, which was divided into two parts (the "Shūgeki-hen" or Attack Arc and the "Hangeki-hen" or Counterattack Arc) and aired between October 2024 and February 2025. Crunchyroll, which aired the third season, has also confirmed that it will handle the fourth season.
The first season of the anime premiered in 2016, followed by the second in 2020. The franchise also includes two OVAs, Memory Snow and The Frozen Bond, as well as a version Director's Cut from the first season, all available on Crunchyroll.
