The
long-awaited second season of the anime Sasaki and Peeps (Sasaki
to Pichan) it already has a release window. During the event MF
Bunko J's Fall School Festival 2025 of Kadokawa, a new
promotional visual was revealed and it was confirmed that the sequel will
arrive at some point in time 2026.
Changes
in Staff and Return of the Cast
The second
season, which was originally announced in July 2022, will feature the return of
most of the cast and main staff. However, there will be a key change in music
production.
The new
music producers will be Kōji Fujimoto (known for Tearmoon
Empire and Mission: Yozakura Family) and Osamu
Sasaki (Ragna Crimson, Mission: Yozakura Family).
Context
of the Franchise
The first
season of Sasaki and Peeps, directed by Mirai Minato in
the studio SILVER LINK., premiered in january 2024 with
a one-hour special and had 12 episodes. Crunchyroll it was the
platform in charge of its international transmission.
About
the Work
The original work, written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku, began publication in january 2021. Light novels quickly gained notoriety, taking home awards in the Tankōbon and Novel categories from the prestigious guide Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2022. The manga adaptation, by Osho, is published on the platform Shōnen Ace Plus since 2021.
