Along with this film announcement, the production committee confirmed that the original series will once again air on Japanese television starting April 5. Maebashi Witches Details

The original animation production was conceived by Bandai Namco Filmworks in collaboration with PROJECT MBW. The direction of the project fell to Junichi Yamamoto, with the supervision of scripts by Erika Yoshida. The character designs were crafted by Nozomi Tachibana, based on Yu Inami's original concepts. The visual section of the magical world was the responsibility of Yoshiki Imazu, while Yuri Habuka composed the soundtrack of the series.

About the work

The story is set in the city of Maebashi, located in Gunma Prefecture. Yuina Akagi is a freshman in high school who leads an ordinary, emotionless life until a mysterious talking toad named Keroppe appears before her. This encounter leads her to be chosen, along with four other young women, to become the "Witches of Maebashi".

From one moment to the next, an ordinary closet in her room transforms into a portal to a magical world connected to a peculiar flower shop. In this new environment, the protagonists use music, dance and their newly acquired magical powers to grant people's wishes, singing songs such as the opening "Sugosugi Maebashi Witches!" and the ending song "Sorezore no Door", performed by the cast of main seiyuus themselves.
