About
the work
The plot of
this teen comedy takes place thirteen years after "Red Day", a
catastrophic event where a lethal disease annihilated 90 percent of humanity,
reanimating the deceased as human-eating zombies. In this collapsed world,
survivors have taken refuge far from the big cities, giving way to a new
generation that does not know what life was like before the apocalypse. The
story follows Aki, a young woman armed with a modified chainsaw,
who leaves the safety of her isolated village with her eccentric friends, Natsuki and Haru,
to embark on a dangerous journey in search of her missing father.
The
original work was written and illustrated by mangaka Katsuwo. Its
serialization began in the pages of Kadokawa's Comic
Dengeki DaiohG magazine in June 2022. After almost two years of
uninterrupted publication, the manga concluded its story by releasing its third
and final compilation volume in print in January 2024.
