Trying to
cancel your engagement and end up making your fiancé more interested in you is
the kind of karma that only exists in otome games. And now it comes to the
anime. Even Though She's a Timid Young Lady to the Max, She Agreed to
Her Shrewd Fiancé's Bet (Yowaki MAX Reijo nanoni, Ratsuwan
Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta) has just confirmed its
premiere for October 2026, releasing its first trailer,
three new members for the voice cast and the full production team for the first
time.
Along with
the trailer, the announcement revealed that Miku Ito and Ryota
Osaka reprise their roles as Pia Rockwell and Rufus
Stan respectively, the same ones they already played in the audio
dramas that accompanied the light novels. They are now joined by three new
members who complete the main cast of this reincarnation romance set in the
nobility of an otome game.

direction is in charge of Nobuaki Nakanishi at the
Jumondo studio, with Hiroko Fukuda supervising the
scripts to maintain the light and mischievous tone of the original work. The
character design is by Hyun Sik Choi, while the music is a
collaboration between Moe Hyuga and Natsuki Hamada.

Even
Though She's a Timid Young Lady was born as a web novel by Hiro Oda in January
2020, with just nine main chapters before closing. From there it jumped to a
light novel with illustrations by Tsubasa.v in August of the
same year, reaching seven volumes published. The manga adaptation, drawn
by Aji Murata, has five volumes collected and is still in
serialization. Between all its editions, the franchise exceeds one
million two hundred thousand copies in circulation. The story follows
a reincarnated college student as Pia, a background villainess in
an otome game who remembers perfectly well that her destiny is to lose her
engagement to the prime minister's son and be banished from the country. His
plan to avoid this: ask Rufus to cancel everything when they are both children.
Her mistake: that it only made Rufus more interested in her and proposed a
seven-year bet to decide whether the engagement continues or not.
