There is still hope! Senko-san author begs for a second season for the anime

If there's one thing every tired adult from the office needs, it's a gigantic dose of peace of mind. In 2019, the animated adaptation of The Helpful Fox Senko-san (Sewayaki Kitsune no Senko-san) became exactly that safe haven for thousands of viewers, offering a soothing story that felt like a true embrace to the soul. Several years have passed since then, and although many had already given up hope of seeing more episodes, the original creator of the work has just lit up the networks with a message full of optimism.

A direct call to animation studios

Through his official platforms, the author shared his feelings in an extremely genuine and direct way. He confessed that, of course, he deeply wants to do a second season. He made it clear to the entire community that there is still a lot of material in the original story to adapt and that his personal motivation is through the roof. Basically, the ball is now in the producers' court. The creator took advantage of the space to invite any interested production committee to contact his editorial department, assuring that they are always with the doors open to negotiate.

A rather emotional detail was that he did not forget the international audience. The artist proved to be fully aware of the passionate support of fans overseas, thanking all the enthusiasm they continue to send him despite the anime ending quite some time ago. These words sounded like a huge ray of hope for those who believed that the series had been abandoned in the trunk of memories.

The hope of tired office workers

For those who don't remember well, the premise of this franchise followed Nakano, an office worker physically and mentally destroyed by one of Japan's fearsome "black companies." His life takes a turn when Senko-san, an 800-year-old fox spirit trapped in the body of a little girl, decides to move in with him to take care of him, cook for him and give him that much-needed rest. It was an instant success thanks to the brilliant work of the Doga Kobo studio, who managed to perfectly capture that atmosphere of healing that characterizes the work so much.

Seeing the original author take the initiative to revive his own work in the animated format is something quite rare and worth celebrating. Knowing that the creator has already taken the first step and the printed material is ready to be used.
