The editorial department of Shueisha publisher Weekly Shonen Jump magazine published a statement via Twitter reporting an unofficial account that is believed to belong to the author of the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga, Koyoharu Gotouge.
— 少年ジャンプ編集部 (@jump_henshubu) May 17, 2020The account is known to be using the username "@GotogeKoyoharu" and is currently deleted. Even LiSA, the opening theme songstress for the anime adaptation, was duped by the account. Initially, the artist posted a comment expressing her excitement upon learning that Gotouge had created a Twitter account, but she later deleted it and retweeted the warning post with a sad emoji.
This incident is part of a recent series of rumors that aim to uncover Koyoharu Gotouge's personal information. In fact, earlier this month, a Japanese yellow paper newspaper confirmed having personal information on the author, sparking the trend on Twitter.😭— LiSA (@LiSA_OLiVE) May 17, 2020
