Controversy continues over Sony's censorship of the visual novel Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue

Realizing the negative reactions to the decision to modify part of the content of the visual novel Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue at its launch for the PlayStation 4 console, the company PQube Games conducted a survey asking buyers: “If you know that A game will have modifications on a platform, what would you do? " Currently the poll is still open, but the response "Buy from other platform" already has more than half the votes.
Fans are pretty sure this is a hint towards Sony's requests to modify some of the original content at the launch of the visual novel for the PlayStation 4, which includes modifying four scenes and removing three others.

The company stressed at the time that this is only being requested by Sony, since the launch for the Nintendo Switch console will not include any changes. The company is reconsidering its upcoming launch on the Sony platform.

Furthermore, the visual novel Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue (known in Japan as Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm) was released for PC in November 2014, and later ported for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Japan in February 2016, January 2017 and March 2018, respectively.

The installment inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Gonzo Studios, directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki and scripts written by Reiko Yoshida, released in January 2016.

Synopsis for Aokana: Four Rhythms Across the Blue

In an alternate universe, anti-gravity footwear was invented by a company called Grav-Shoes, and it allows people to fly freely through the skies. This leads to the creation of a sport known as "Flying Circus", where participants compete in races or other types of events. Masaya Hinata is a high school student living in Japan. In the past, he was pretty good at that sport, but he quit due to a crushing defeat.

His life changes when a happy girl named Asuka Kurashina transfers to her school and takes an interest in the Flying Circus. Although she is quite a novice, she manages to score a point during a match against the vice-captain of a powerful school, which turned into a considerable feat. This will become a new source of inspiration for Masaya.
