The io9 news website released an update on the status of the live-action series based on the Sunrise Studios' original anime, Cowboy Bebop, after an interview with writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach. The writer confirmed that Ein will be played by a corgi dog, just like in the original series. and also stated that "the style and essence of the original series will be respected."
However, the writer also revealed that some changes were made, mainly in Faye Valentine's wardrobe, since it will be less revealing. Also, it will seek to show the characters smoking in the least possible measure.
Grillo-Marxuach also commented that he has already written to two of the series' villains to date, including "one of the most important" in the series. He mentioned that this adaptation will expand the stories of the characters. Finally, the writer revealed that he has already seen the first episode of this new series, and clarified that he is very sure that the series will premiere until the first season is complete, since such a series should be seen in full and not between breaks. .
